If you are asked to audition for a solo, give it a shot as it will boost your confidence, and it will also be great fun

When did you first become involved with the Rodolfus Choir?

I first became involved in the Rodolfus choir after going on one of the Foundation’s choral courses in the summer of 2019.

What do you remember about your first concert singing with the choir?

My first concert with the choir was incredible. The sound was unbelievable and I learnt so many new tips on how to sing better.

Can you pick one highlight of being a member of the choir?

For me there is no single highlight of being a member, however it is such a privilege to sing in this choir and such good fun singing with young people and achieving goals with them.

What are you up to now?

I am currently studying at Radley College, where I sing in the Chapel Choir and Chamber Choir.

If you had to pick only one song to sing for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

‘The Trumpet Shall Sound’ from Handel’s Messiah.

Who are your top three composers, musicians or bands from the past and present?

My top three composers are: Bach, Bob Chilcott, and Handel.

Can anyone else in your family sing?

Both my brothers can sing and one is a chorister for his local church.

Where would you like to be in 10 years time?

I would like to be teaching music and inspiring the next generation. Whilst at the same time having a choral career with a professional choir.

Have you any advice to give to our junior singers?

When you are asked if you want to do a solo, never say no. And if you are asked to audition for a solo, give it a shot as it will boost your confidence and it will also be great fun.

We have three office dogs at The Rodolfus Foundation. What's your favourite animal and why?

My favourite animal is a tiger, because they are very cunning and intelligent. But also they are powerful and confident.
