Inspiring Tomorrow's Singers

Other Funding for Choral Courses

External Funding

At the Rodolfus Foundation, we are committed to making our choral courses accessible to all singers, regardless of financial background. We are pleased to offer generous bursaries on a means-tested basis to help cover the costs of attending our courses.

Other External Funds to Consider

In addition to applying for a bursary from the Rodolfus Foundation, there are several external funds that may offer further financial support. Please remember that applying to external funds does not prevent you from applying for a Rodolfus Foundation bursary. In fact, we encourage you to explore these options in case they are applicable to your situation.

  • Young Sounds UK
Supporting talented young people from low income families, helping them to overcome financial and social barriers. You can apply at any time so take a look at their website for more information. Please note - it can take up to 12 weeks to hear back from Young Sounds UK about your application. Please apply sooner rather than later!

  • Young Sounds UK - Regional Opportunities
Young Sounds UK have a great source of local opportunities to browse through. You may find a local fund in your town or county that you can look into.

  • National Youth Arts Trust
For singers aged 12-25, bursaries are granted to talented young people aged 12-25 who can’t afford to access opportunities in the arts. Applications for bursaries open several times a year, and the next deadline is to be confirmed.

  • Miss E.B. Wrightson's Charitable Trust
This trust aims to benefit those of secondary school age (Year 7) to 18 years. Reviews are conducted twice a year, with deadlines at 1st February and 1st September.

  • Future Talent
Future Talent aims to support, develop and listen to the needs and aspirations of gifted young musicians who present challenges to their musical development. They are currently closed for applications but they will open again in 2025.

  • Christine Brown Trust
Anyone under the age of 19 can apply from this trust, but they do prioritise applicants from Yorkshire.

Important Information on External Funds

While we encourage you to apply for these external opportunities, please note that we cannot assist with the application process for these funds. You will need to apply directly to each organisation following their guidelines and deadlines.

We will be making some changes to our bursary process next year. As a result, we may be able to award bursaries earlier in the year than in previously. Because of this, we strongly recommend submitting your application as early as possible when the process opens early next year.

Our course dates will be announced later this autumn, with bursary applications opening early next year. We look forward to receiving your applications and welcoming you to one of our choral courses.

If you have any questions about the Rodolfus Foundation bursaries, feel free to contact us.
